Instructions
- 1
Choose your container: Select a 16oz (500ml) mason jar or airtight container with a lid. A clear container lets you see the beautiful layers. Make sure it is clean and completely dry.
- 2
Layer the base ingredients: Add the rolled oats to the bottom of the jar. Sprinkle the chia seeds evenly over the oats, then add the pinch of salt. The chia seeds will absorb liquid overnight and create a pudding-like texture.
- 3
Add the wet ingredients: Pour in the milk, then add the Greek yogurt. Use a spoon or small spatula to gently combine these wet ingredients with the oats, making sure all the oats get moistened. Scrape down the sides of the jar.
- 4
Add the sweetener: Drizzle the honey or maple syrup over the mixture. Stir gently to distribute it throughout - this prevents pockets of sweetness.
- 5
Create the pistachio layer: Drop spoonfuls of Pistasho pistachio spread on top of the oat mixture. You can either swirl it in gently for a marbled effect, or leave it as a distinct layer on top - both ways are delicious.
- 6
Seal and refrigerate: Secure the lid tightly on the jar. Place in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, but overnight (8-12 hours) is ideal. The oats need this time to fully absorb the liquid and soften to a creamy consistency.
- 7
Check the consistency in the morning: Remove from the refrigerator and give it a good stir from the bottom up. The texture should be creamy and pudding-like. If it seems too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk and stir. If too thin, add a spoonful more yogurt.
- 8
Add fresh toppings: Wash and dry your fresh berries. Slice any strawberries. Top the oats with the fresh berries and crushed pistachios. Add an extra drizzle of Pistasho spread if desired.
- 9
Serve and enjoy: You can eat overnight oats cold straight from the jar, which is perfect for busy mornings. Alternatively, transfer to a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring halfway through, for warm oats.

Storage note: Overnight oats (without fresh toppings) can be prepared up to 3 days in advance. Add fresh fruit only when ready to eat to prevent sogginess.
Tips
For the creamiest results, use old-fashioned rolled oats - instant oats become too mushy and steel-cut remain too chewy. Make multiple jars at once for easy meal prep throughout the week. Experiment with different toppings like sliced banana, coconut flakes, or cacao nibs.
